A photo of our February meeting appeared in the Observer, 24 February, along with an article about CRAGs, click here to read it (no photo online).
We had a public meeting on Saturday 15 March on Carbon Offsetting. Two speakers explained the benefits and the problems with offsetting, a few short films were shown, and a lively debate followed.
And on Tuesday 18th we were on BBC Radio York breakfast show, again talking about Carbon Offsetting

Our mission: to reduce our carbon footprints by providing support, encouragement and
inspiration for individual and collective action. |
| |
Our Aims: |
| To make us all aware of our personal carbon footprint. |
| To help each other pursue cuts in our personal CO2 emissions. |
| To argue for the adoption of similar schemes at the national and international level. |
| To build solidarity between growing groups of carbon conscious people. |
| |
| Our Target |
| This year's target is to not exceed 4.5 tonnes of CO2 emissions per person. This target is a 10% reduction from 5 tonnes of CO2 which the average person in the UK emits annually through transport and home energy use. We aim to reduce our emissions by 10% annually. |

National Climate March, 8th Dec |
Several York Craggers took part in a successful (though wet) national climate march in London. We met many members from CRAGs across the country. It was great to see so many of you there. |

| Stop Climate Chaos Interactive Map Finished! |
 |
| On behalf of the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition, The Climate Outreach Information Network (COIN) has collated an interactive map of all community-level groups working on climate change in the UK. The map enables interested individuals to browse all of the groups in their area, contact them and get involved - as well as enabling the groups themselves to network together, co-ordinate their activities and look for groups working on similar topics across the UK. See York CRAG on the map here. |
